Today

Life in the Holland household really isn’t too exciting. Brad goes to work, Annika and I hang out and sometimes I try to get some housework or cooking done. Today really wasn’t much different, but in my effort to do a better job of capturing Annika as she is everyday, it seemed worth blogging about. I needed to make cookies for a youth activity tomorrow, and Anni and I did it together. She was great at pouring all the ingredients into the bowl . . .

. . . and she was even better at licking the beaters.

Can I eat them yet, Mom?

Success!

Things got a little more interesting after that. I got Annika started on her lunch and went around the corner into the laundry room to start a load. When I came back I found this. Look familiar?

I guess the last time she wore her spaghetti she got the idea we thought it was funny. This time she decided to bathe in it. We have been teaching her to wash her hands and clean herself off in the bath. She was washing her hands, her hair, and her arms with tomato sauce.

I probably should have let Annika know that this was inappropriate behavior, but I couldn’t stop laughing.  It’s only 3:00 — I wonder what else I can expect from this mischievous little one today.

Monica - Okay I need to stop looking at your blog (I won’t but I should…) I miss you guys so much. She is such a sweet girl.

Britteny - Mark and I got a great laugh out of this. We sure miss Annika. we went to visit my sister a few days ago and Lexi kept calling Hadley Annika. She really wanted to play with Annika.

Augustina - It’s good to see kids other than my own bathing in their food! I love it. It always amazes me how much the sauce dyes their skin an orange color so quickly. Love the pictures!
