It is starting to feel like Christmas in the Holland house. We have our Christmas tree up and decorated and the stockings are hung. This weekend we had the local Christmas market right outside our door (literally) and Annika now requests that we sing “Away in a Manger” before we put her to bed at night. Brad and I celebrated by getting ourselves a new lens — the Sigma 50mm 1.4. Brad and I took a few pictures the other day to test it out and I thought I would share. I wrapped 24 Christmas books from the library for Annika and she gets to open a new one every night. That’s the idea anyway. A few times she has found me in the house, proudly announced “book!” and shown me one she has unwrapped.

Annika enjoyed decorating the tree more than I thought she would. She enjoys it so much, in fact, that the bottom few branches get re-decorated everyday.

A better picture than this next one might have been giant pregnant lady standing on the edge of the bathtub trying to get the picture she imagined in her head. This isn’t quite it, but I like it anyway.
